About US
We’re two brothers from the United Kingdom with a simple belief: every child deserves to be the hero of their very own story.
Our journey began with a small Etsy shop and a big idea — creating personalised books that allowed children to step into their own adventures. Our earliest creations were simple but heartfelt: 10-page, saddle stitch bound storybooks featuring generic illustrations and gently themed stories that customers could choose from, offering an accessible introduction to personalised storytelling. Even in these early beginnings, the response from families was wonderfully encouraging, showing us just how powerful it is when a child sees themselves reflected in a story.

But we knew there was more magic to be made.
That evolution became DearStory — a dedicated home for truly exceptional, personalised storytelling.
What We Create Now
Today, we craft fully bespoke 50-page storybooks that place your child at the centre of an enchanting adventure. Each story can include the people who matter most — parents, siblings, grandparents, relatives, friends, and even beloved pets — all brought to life through custom illustrations that reflect their unique appearance and personality.
You can choose the theme and setting of the story, whether it’s a magical woodland, a faraway kingdom, outer space, or beneath the sea. We also thoughtfully weave in personal details such as disabilities, differences, and special qualities, ensuring every child feels represented, celebrated, and empowered.
What We Stand For
  • Every child deserves to feel seen, included, and celebrated
  • Stories should reflect real families, real differences, and real magic
  • Personalisation should evolve beyond generic illustrations into truly bespoke creation
  • Books should be treasured keepsakes, not just momentary reads
  • Imagination nurtures confidence, empathy, and self-belief
At DearStory, we create more than books. We create moments of wonder, connection, and belonging — where children recognise themselves as the hero of their own world and carry that feeling with them long after the final page is turned.

Because every child deserves to be the hero of their own adventure.
